Shooting Nature: Cameras Gain Popularity, Guns Lose

A study conducted by the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station showed that the number of people engaged in outdoor activities considered to be more traditional, like hunting and fishing, has plateaued or decreased, even as the population increased. At the same time, technology-based ways of viewing nature, like birdwatching and photography, are on the rise.
